Rates

I charge $175 per 60-minute session.

Since sessions are virtual, payment is processed through a secure and private electronic health record that I use called Simple Practice. This enables you to keep your credit card (including HSA or FSA cards) on file and manage your payment settings.

Insurance

I am an in-network provider with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and BlueChoice plans.

For other insurance plans, if you receive out-of-network benefits, I will provide a detailed session receipt for you to request reimbursement. As a licensed independent clinical social worker, my professional services qualify for reimbursement under most health insurance plans, which means that a portion of my fee may be covered.

Sample questions to ask your insurance carrier:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Does it cover teletherapy?

  • What is my deductible and how much has already been met?

  • How much do you reimburse for outpatient therapy sessions?

  • How many sessions per year are covered?

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
